A month after Tony Cascarino's win in Bolton, the GUKPT is back on the road once again and heading for the G Casino on the Isle of Thanet in Kent. The 8th leg of the tour takes place between the 13th-19th of October in the newest casino in the Grosvenor/G estate, which is experiencing the excitement of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour for the first time. The festival features several side events with buy-ins ranging from £100 - £300 and a four-day £1,000 no limit hold'em main event, which takes place from Thursday 16th-Sunday 19th of October.  There are two starting days for the main event and play commences at 2pm on each, with alternates accepted during the first two hours of the competition. Over 50 players have already qualified online for the event, which is expected to have over 200 participants and a first prize in excess of £60,000. The winner will also bag a seat in the tour's £3,000 Grand Final and a seat in the exclusive £75,000 Champion of Champions tournament.

Super satellite qualifiers for the main event will take place at 9.15pm on Friday and Sunday on Blue Square Poker - www.bluesqpoker.com. Live satellites with £200 added to each will take place during the festival at the host casino on the 13th, 14th and 15th of October, starting at 2pm. After the 8th leg the tour then embraces the Grosvenor Grand Prix for the first time. Tour sponsor Blue Square Poker is adding £25,000 to this unique pot limit hold'em event, which takes place at the Grosvenor Casino in Walsall from 30th October – 2nd November. The only way to obtain a seat is to qualify via a series of £50 rebuy satellites.
