Result - An emotional day saw American Jimmy Shultz win $257,049 when he beat Canadian Zachary Fellows heads up. This was the first time Shultz had played in a WSOP event and he donated 25% of his winnings to a special fund  set up for firefighters in the Charleston Fire Department. Shultz lost a few friends who died tragically whist serving in the fire department last year.

Result - American Eric Brooks made sure that another unknown player saw off the pros in this stellar field. $415,856 was Brooks' first ever cash in a major tournament anywhere and saw off the 7 bracelet holders who were in the last 16 of the field with him.

Result - American Andrew Brown came through an all American final table to win the first prize of $226,483, beating WSOP bracelet holder Ted Forrest heads-up.

Result - American Jason Young came through a tough two day tournament to win the three tables he sat on to take down the $335,565 first prize. He beat American Mike Schwartz heads-up in a mammoth battle for the bracelet.

Result - American Mike "The mouth" Matusow won his third WSOP bracelet beating fellow bracelet holder Australian Jeff Lisandro heads up. Matusow won $537,862 and saw off 4 other bracelet holders on the final table.
