Ian Johns
How does that old saying go? You win one, you win one? That’s how it is as far as young Ian Johns is concerned, the Mr. 100 Percent of the World Series of Poker. Ian is no slouch nor is he a newcomer to the world of poker, despite an age of 21, having a great track record playing online. His biggest win previously was a $70,000 online event, a prize that many online poker players would be thrilled with. Parleying his poker skills into a few free rides to this year’s WSOP, Johns entered Event 23, the $3,000 Limit Hold’em show, with an aggressive plan.

Not wanting to give away any chips, and counting on a lot of tight play from a lot of nervous players, Ian powered through and picked up plenty of pots without having to show hands. When he did pick up a great hand and found someone willing to call him down, well, that was good, too.

Ian went on to play in a few more events in the WSOP this year, after a well deserved break at the Belagio, where he was staying with his wife. However Mr. 100 Percent’s ration ends up by the end of the season, he can go home to Seatac, Washington, with his head held high. And with $291,755.
